The Kanaiwa Summer Festival is held at the Ono Minato Shrine and is one of the largest summer festivals held in Kanazawa drawing over 100,000. Portable shrines are carried by participants, Noh theater performances, lion dances and a homecoming ritual which has been held for hundreds of years. The start-finish times vary daily so please check ahead. This district is well-known for soy sauce factories and the fishing port. The public fish market is here.
