Fukuno Yotaka Festival in Nanto City, Toyama features giant floats up to 6 meters tall lit up like paper lanterns being pushed through the city streets which are lined with dozens of food and drink stalls. The night culminates in the famous float battle where each float team tries to destroy the other floats. It is a 50min drive from Kanazawa station. It’s best to go around 9pm if you want to see the battle after 11pm.
