Anamizu Oyster Festival has a 400 meter long grill where you can bbq your own oysters and visit the various other stalls. Oysters are at their peak in winter. The festival is held the last weekend of January or the 2nd weekend of February so please check in advance. It is a 90minute drive from Kanazawa station and wonderful reason to go out to the Noto Peninsula. On a clear day you can see across the Toyama Bay to the snow capped alps.
